wow....

.....Someone has their foot firmly on the Accelerator of Life!!! I can't believe how fast time is going.... maybe we should all don neck braces to prevent whiplash!! I know it's not just me..even the kids notice it.

So...having said that...so much has happened since my last post.Too much to go into     ( I'd probably bore you to tears , so I'll just mention a couple ...) Family changes...my eldest daughter has moved out, rooms are being rearranged ( I get my old Craft Space back!! ) , things are settling into place very differently and ,as much as I miss my lovely girl I have to say things are getting better. Who would've thought?!

There have been changes on the creative front as well ...I'm really enjoying pottering around in Dreamstime & Red Bubble & am having regular little sales at the former , which is a lovely bonus.

This is a variation of one of my Steampunk creations ( I LOVE Steampunk!!! )

Also on the Creative side of things my sister & I ( you remember her...she made all the exquisite faeries & mystical beings for the Calendar we created together ) are doing a market stall together at Blackheath School Markets once a month.... we have a great little collection of creative goodies we've made so if you're around when the markets are on come & say HI!! I'll try to get some photos up so you can see what we've got..)

Anyway, I need to let my MacBook have a rest...it likes the heat about as much as I do...which is not much at all!

kids...

I can hardly believe that I have one child now in possession of her drivers licence , and one with his learners permit....and two more yet to go through the process!! How does it all happen so quickly??? I guess my parents once asked the same question!

And , on the subject of parents...how did my Mum suddenly get to 70???  I always thought that 70 was ancient...but I look at Mum & she's no such thing!!lol

Anyway...I took some photos of the kids as a prezzie for Mum...here are a few in a digi lo..

..mostly stuff I've made in CS3.

...Someone needs a lift somewhere & due to the fact that it's too bloody expensive to add a P plater to our car insurance it looks like I'm doing the driving!!

woohoo..

I love it when I get an unexpected package delivered!! The new Stamp It Christmas catalogue arrived with three of my stamp designs!!....might have to play with them soon!! ( Someone has borrowed my vacuum so I'll have to do something till I get it back , won't I?? )

...Maybe once I finish playing with my submissions for the next catalogue I might get out some ink & get crafty!!!

Steampunk...

I've been playing around with some Steampunky kind of ideas ( enjoying it immensely , too!! ) I had no idea what it even was until a few months ago ( it's a blend of technology & the Victorian Era) , but I have to say I've fallen in love with it!!

 

this is all stuff I've made from photos or from scratch in PS3 ( I'm so behind the times now , but at the moment CS5 remains tantalisingly ( is that a word?? ) out of my reach!!! ) ...I've used a pencil sketch Action from Atomic Cupcake which makes an image look like it's done in pencil ...very clever!!! I've done some desktop designs using the same things in this one, but I'm thinking of submitting them to Dreamstime or Deviant Art...I don't know ... If I don't I'll put them up here later. 

I should go....I promised to play a board game with one of my kids...

Long time no post....

...where does the time go?? And what have I done with it??? lol
Lots of fun stuff, lots of not-so-fun stuff , & lots of just Be-ing stuff.

I've been doing lots of creative stuff ,too, of course ( when do I not??? lol ) and actually got into some drawing ...the kind I haven't done in ages, and it has been soooo much fun!!! A friend of my eldest daughter asked if I'd design her a faerie tattoo....here are some of my ideas....

...I was too lazy to try to get my computer to speak to the scanner ( they're having some "issues" !! ) so I just photographed the sketches so they're not the best quality, but I guess they're clear enough! I had a ball drawing them...even bought myself some new pencils & sketch book for the occasion!!! lol

Anyway, I'm hoping that this finds you all well & happy ( and not too cold!! ).And even though it's not even 9 pm I'm going to bed.....I'm absolutely knackered!!!

something a little different..

this was heaps of fun , I may still add some more bits & pieces but I want to leave it as it is for now. I've been buying lots of fantastic photos from Dreamstime  ( the kids think I'm a nutter because when they asked what I wanted for my birthday I said    " Dreamstime Credits so I can get more photos!! " )  . I've used some of the pics I've bought in this ...what would you call it?? It's not a layout , but for want of a better word I'll stick with that!! Anyway, I'm feeling a little off today so I might go & relax for a bit!

Desktop designs...

I've been playing in Photoshop again...does that surprise you? It doesn't surprise me one bit!! lol ...I can't stop!! It's been nearly seven years since I quit smoking & I think I've spent most of that time either paper scrapping, digi scrapping or just having fun doing other stuff in Photoshop!! At least it's a healthier option than smoking!!!

Anyway ..I've been designing some desktop themes ( and having a ball!! )  so I'll share a couple of things...
