Reality Check...

I did this lo at Lusi's last night ( had a great time, too, catching up with Brigitte, Siany & Lyndal! ) .Lusi set a challenge & as I only took my Macbook with me I had to do a digi version!! Check her link in the Inspiration list for the challenge details.
It's a pretty appropriate theme...doing a lot of hard thinking about a lot of things. One in particular which has left me feeling ike crap even though I feel I did the right thing. There are other parties involved so I can't go into detail, but basically I spoke out about a situation that had me very concerned for a young girl I know... certain events unfolded & now I'm probably at least # 2 on her MostHated list, which hurts like hell. Part of my reality check has been realising that it's important that we all look out for the welfare of kids in our lives & there have been many times I've refrained from interfering here ...but I can't when I see a child in danger,no matter what form it takes. I remember wondering when I was a kid why no one helped us ....knowing that the neighbours must have heard what was going on but chose to ignore it. I just hope one day she'll understand that I only spoke up because I love her.
Sorry to be such a sad sack! I really needed to get that off my chest.
I'll come back with ( hopefully ) some fun shots of our 40th Birthday party in a couple of days.

I did this one last night...I found some instructions for making digi masking tape & of course I just had to do a layout to see how it looked!!! lol !!!

anyway...just had an infuriating encounter so I'm off to blow off some steam!!!

Hello!!

Hiyah!! I feel like I 've been awol for ages ...had to have a break from computers , even the fun creative stuff!! REALLY needed a break!!! I'm so glad to be back, though, even if it is only for a very quick post!!!
.......lots has been happening ...mostly day to day stuff ,some rethinking & pondering the complexities of Life!! I managed to catch up with a couple of friends...bumped into Brigitte at Winter Magic , very briefly, & also saw Siany & Johnny ( hiyah!! )...and had an absolute BLAST over at the  Lusi's last night when I went over to catch up with her & meet IRL the gorgeous Jill Geraghty Groves & her hubby & boys!!! Loved meeting you guys!!!! I haven't laughed so much in such a long time!!! It's so cool when you meet someone & just feel instantly comfortable with them!
On a creative note I haven't done a huge amount of stuff , but thoroughly enjoyed doing this digi layout of my newest second cousin ( I've lost count of how many there are coz there are over twenty cousins to start with & most of them have  kids!! )...anyway...I'm waffling......here she is...      

how cute is she???? I got clucky doing this one ( only for a few seconds ) !!!  Congratulations again Bindi & Michael!!
Anyway...I think I might go & create something ...I SHOULD be doing stuff to get ready for our big birthday bash this weekend ( Gav & I both turn 40 between the end of June & mid July so we're having one big party together! Should be fun!! So....maybe I'll create something little then do some organising!!

Faerie wings....

Ok...I'm a bit nervous about putting this up....my first Tutorial!! .....I'm really intereseted in some feedback ( but be nice , please!!! lol ) ...so....this is for those of you ( Brigitte!!! )who want to use my Faerie Wing Brushes ( avaliable HERE ) on their photos! ......( there are many ways of doing things in Photoshop...this is just one way I've picked for this photo ...)

Still here!!....

I've been soooo slack lately, not blogging or visiting! I was spending far too much time in cyberland & not enough in the 'real' world!! anyway...I've finally remembered to get the photos of my new stamps done so ......here they are.....


















...these are in Stamp It's new releases in the Curlique catalogue! I've even been using them!!! I'm not a stamper, but I'm learning!!!   I got to catch up with Di , Lynn & Chad at Scrapbooking & Beyond when Lusi  & I went down a few weeks ago! Heaps of fun! I met Suze Weinberg (  well known & very talented , not to mention FUNNYY lady) & her DH Lenny.This next photo of Suze , Chad & me is what you get when you put two very short people next to one very tall person!!! lol























I think that will do for the moment ...I have some "work" to do....actually it is work....not the fun designing stuff...the dreaded details ...blah.....oh well , I'll get it done the I can play with some more designs!!

Hi again!

I've been distracted with the stuff of life lately......housework, kids , more housework, kids being pains!!! lol ...so creativity has been a little quieter while I've been dealing with it all....tho I have to say the frustration of one certain issue lead to this...

...it was a choice of verbal combat with a 14 yr old boy (a pointless exercise as they know it all anyway!!! )  or get creative!!I didn't even think about this one, I just let it evolve & by the time I finished I felt so much better!!! The perfect therapy...available anytime & doesn't cost a fortune!!!

This one was fun to do! the photos were taken on Mother's Day .

Some more excitement.....the Scrapaholic aprons are in Scrapbooking Creations this month!!!!!! ( Lus let me know again!!! )  AND on the previous page are two of my new stamps in StampIts new release! ....which reminds me I haven't even taken pics of them to show !!! Oops!! Put that on my To Do list!!!

...Hi ! How are you all? Enjoying the moments of sunshine??? lol! Just a quick post...

this digi lo was published in Digital Artist Magazine (May issue ) !!
I had heaps of fun creating this one!! ( well, I always have heaps of fun but sometimes I totally get into that creative 'zone' ...totally lost in the process of creating!!This was one of those experiences!!)

Still on a creative note...I'm so excited about next Tuesday...I'm off to Scrapbooking & Beyond trade show with the gorgeous Miss Lusi ! I'll be there as part of the Stamp It team....some of my new stamp designs will be released with their new general catalogue!!! Woohoo!!!

I'll leave you with another digi ( I know, it's another Faerie one,too, but I love the ethereal theme! !) ..( did you know it's the World Fairy ( thay spelld it rong!!lol )Festival tomorrow????)
